With BBoB X only days away now, and we find ourselves looking for ways to get through the day, you can spend part of that time checking the current conditions and forecast for the upcoming weekend in Southern Pines. I think that I may have a shot to play well at Tobacco Road if I'm able to replace myself with my alter ego on tiger woods. From seeing a couple new pictures, we may all be popping some prozac after the round.

Draft Set for Monday, August 6

BBoB Commissioner Eric von Bodenheimer announced today amidst mass speculation and anticipation that the team draft for Boozers Battle of the Bogeys X will take place Monday, August 6 at 6:30pm. The Taco Mac Perimeter location will once again serve as host venue, after many successful years in the dirty back room of $3 Cafe, or whatever it was last called before it was torn down.

In an official release, Bodner very eloquently said, "Well, the 10th edition is now only 30 days away from us... and Southern Pines doesn't know what they have coming. With the tournament now less than a month away, we are due to have our draft."

Brian Messer, projected to be one of the four players who will be drafting a team, made no objections, but did make it known he would need ample time to drive his golf cart back to Peachtree City in order to be home by 9:30 so not to miss his favorite shows, "My Super Sweet 16" and "Engaged and Underage".

Eric Cheek, the only "captain" yet to confirm, was rumored to be somewhere in middle Georgia watching teenage girls with no shoes on play golf. Fortunately for the high integrity of the Boozers' Tour, Cheek has not yet appeared on NBC's "To Catch a Predator."

This is great. It looked like Daly was having his own BBOB event with just himself. I especially like it when he gives the cart girl a wad of cash then takes the whole cart (Messer, that is your job this year).

If Tobacco Road is #10...

I played a course earlier this week in Dothan, Alabama that I can't believe isn't in the Top 50 list so I'm going to assume it's #51.

With Boozer's around the corner I decided to play it as tough as it gets so I played it from the "Purple" tees. We played the Magnolia and Marshwood nines that measure a ridiculous 7,704 yards with a 493 yard par 4 and a 701 yard par 5.

It's just a shade tougher than the Marietta City Club....you hear me Seaman?
